What Does Previous Employment Mean?

I SEE previous employment as just another line in the resume.

But I REMEMBER it, not by the salary I was compensated with, nor as a step on my career advancement, but more essentially, by the conversations that developed from small talks to profound personal struggles and triumphs.

I witness professional interaction develop into a friendship and a lending ear that has turned sore with glee.

I take previous employment as a graduation from a school of choice between the earthly, tangible desire to stay ahead in the career race (with all the repercussions it entails) and keeping attuned to one’s values and perceived purpose in the circumstance.

I believe previous employment means your purpose in the workplace, and to the people within, has been done. It is time to sail off and be used where you are much more needeed.

Previous employment means a chance to meet another set of people where your life can be more heterogenuously richer, like how the previous ones made it qualitatively richer for you, as well.

It is another chance to share what you learned, not only in the field, but more importantly, in life. In return, a chance to get soaked like a sponge with new ideas, maybe another form of enlightenment.

Previous employment is just another line in the resume, where I take with me another sphere of myself, another realm of personal understanding, another depth in my being.

Previous employment is just another soul-enriching line in my resume, I suggest, we should have more of it.
